Just got back from the dyno, heres the plots.. 10psi Gt15 turbo. one is with 20 degree advance, the other 24 degrees. 109 nanas and 115 curly whirlys, was pleased with the torque curve --- full curlywhirlies at 3.2k and flat to about 5k.
I was a bit dissapointed with nanas at first but I THINK these are nanas at the wheels so adding the 10-15% makes me feel better. Its a hot day today (87 degF 55% humidity and its only 9:00am) but these figures should be corrected for that, however I did a 0-60 run on the way home and was a bit shocked at how slow it was, maybe the heat and my "American sized" passenger??

I need to do more on the needle, real rich at the start and then richens off at the end, safe but not the most efficient..

you can add about 26 bhp for a heli and around 22 for a straight cut tel ,also if there was not enough air flowing thruogh your intercooler itll run richer than it would on the street .

i cant remember what cr and engine size it is ?but 109 +26 =135 so thats good for 10 psi on a small turbo.

bloody well done chap.

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM

Hi,
With only 10psi and 8.5 CR I'd say you could run more advance than that, or up the boost *wink*
Cheers,
Gavin :)

It has SC drops standard box 8.5 CR 1298cc standard turbo head 14cc accralites and Kent 266 cam plus 2.95 Diff. 130 odd is fine by me!. As you can see the torque is all there at the low end and when driving it thats what I feel. On the road I rarely rev it over 5500 ---no need.

Still say that for a road car the GT15 is a cracker, but having said that it probably would run out of steam at 14psi.

Due to recent history I got No balls Gavin!! I want that needle perfect then I'll try 26-28? what do you think? It raised 3 nanas per 2 degrees on the 2 steps I made so 115 nanas may be possible.

This Dyno is only a few miles away and they strapped it in and got it running pretty quickly. I'll use it again but just take a few pulls next time which is cheaper. Plus now I know my O2 is accurate If only I could datalog my O2.. maybe the next Megajolt version will solve that one..

Hi,
Yeah get the fuelling right, then set the timing up for the least amount of advance that give you the best torque. This will usually occur over 3 degrees, just set it to the lowest number, so if it's 26-29 set it to 25 just to be sure *wink*
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

Clearly tel the head is limiting you power *frown*
having said that i am not sure what your goal is ?????????? *Confused*

The ports, valves and guide bosses is your governor
This need to be addressed , are you running an intercooler...??

I am after a road car so didn't get into that stuff aside from porting it a little. I have a side mount intercooler, again probably less than optimal but does the job better than most would suspect. Not really interested in BIG nanas just drivability and it feels fine on that front so I think I have what I aimed for.
